About us

Grubmates is a local delivery startup enabling anyone to get any product in the city within an hour. We deliver food, groceries, medicine, and more seven days a week. We are available in Flic en Flac, Tamarin, and Black River, Mauritius.

Since our launch in early 2023, our mission has been to provide the most convenient delivery service for neighbors and to boost the local economy by improving consumer logistics infrastructure for local businesses.

We support local restaurants by providing our service for free. We also support local communities by hiring only the trusted neighbors to deliver for you: teachers, nurses, A-students, church community members, etc.

For restaurants

Our service provides delivery from any restaurant and store in the city. So we do not need an official partnership to be able to deliver from them.

However, if we have such a partnership, we can recommend your place on our website, in the city guides, in customer conversations, and through our collaboration network (hotels, apartments, and travel agencies). We are neighbors-to-neighbors service, partnering with 100+ restaurants already. You can trust your meals will be delivered fast, fresh and hot.

If you decide to work with us in parallel with other delivery services, we will ask for the same conditions you have with them. If you choose to work with us exclusively, our service will be completely free for you.

For drivers

If you would like to earn money by delivering to people what they love, please feel free to join our fleet of delivery drivers (aka "grubmates").

The basic requirements:
• Be eligible to work in Mauritius.
• Have a vehicle with a driving license.
• Share our values listed in "Little Yellow Book".

If you would like to join our team as a full-time employee, please consider that any of our career opportunities imply that everybody should deliver (from associates to directors). It is mandatory to feel all the supply chain and logistics pains we tackle and to feel our customers directly.
